A process, created for one person, one occasion, one vision
At Virtue Pop, with a daughter-mom team, we create corset based outfits that you had always imagined yourself in. Crafted entirely around you, for you. Each commission is personally guided by us, making sure we choose the perfect design, fabric and silhouette for you.
The First Appointment
The process always begins by meeting you to understand your vision, the occasion and timeline. We prefer appointments in our Athenian workspace to explore references, silhouettes and for you to be able to see our art-work. If not capable, we can have an online consultation. All of this might be followed by a second appointment, where we'll browse through designs we made for you and to explore fabric choices more in depth.
Please have in mind that we only create our designs and do not copy work of others. We are designers.
The Design
Following the consultation, we develop designs based on our previous conversations, with all matters taken into consideration, such as fabrics, body type and construction. Each design is shaped around the individual, balancing romance and proportion.
The Fittings
Once the commssion is confirmed, we begin with a toile. A toile is the first version of the garment made to fix all the mistakes, which will help before cutting into the final fabric. Most pieces require two to three fittings.
Unfortunately, due to our duo team size, we can not accomodate fittings outside of our workspace, and for those you'll have to visit us in Athens.
The Making
After the pattern is perfected, the garment is cut and sewn with the final fabrics of your choice. With handwork, corsetry, embellishment or structural details developed according to the design.
TIMELINE
Bridal and occasion-wear are ideally begun 6 months (or even a year in advance). But shorter timelines are of course considered. Please contact us, or come by our workspace, either way, so we can accurately let you know of the timeline and process.
